The Pit Bull Press - MediaPit Bulls and Parolees is an American television series that features the largest pit bull animal shelter in the United States, Villalobos Rescue Center, and their 200 – 250 dogs.

The Villalobos Rescue Center is the largest pit bull rescue in the USA, now located in New Orleans, LA. This show displays the interaction of the dog and man; About pets and people that no one wants.

Each episode depicts the daily operation of the shelter and their struggles to not only rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt out their dogs, but also about the interactions between the owner, her family and the employees, as many of them are parolees. The idea to hire parolees came from the owner’s husband, as he is one himself and able to identify with them and their struggles to find honest employment after serving their time in prison. The show has given average citizens a look inside the life of a parolee and the struggles they face on a daily basis while funding the shelter so that they may continue with their mission of saving one of America’s most misunderstood breeds of dog.
