Longest Shelter Resident Wants Nothing More Than A New Home

BINGHAMPTON, New York – Meet MALLORY! Mallory arrived at the Broome County Dog Shelter in May 2017. She’s very affectionate, loves children and attention. She is mostly blind but can see shadows and appreciates thoughtful noises and introductions.

Mallory is a special lady!! This 4-5 year old pit bull is going blind and will need a special home to give her an environment where she can thrive. She sees shadows, but detail is not her forte.

Mallory is very sweet, affectionate and playful. If you are one of those “rearrange the furniture every 15 minutes” people, she is not the one for you. She likes to know when you are coming and appreciates thoughtful noises and introductions.

There have been 106 dog adoptions since Mallory was first rescued, and shelter staff is determined to give her a chance at something better. Mallory is looking for a home where she can be the only dog. She’d also like a fenced-in yard, a comfy place to sleep, and a ball for fun and games. Most of all, she’s looking for a family that will accept her love and offer theirs in return.

You have to meet her to believe her sweet spirit. Mallory deserves to find her forever home. Can you help? Call the Shelter at 607-778-2493.

If you’re interested in meeting Mallory and giving her the kind of life she deserves, contact Broome County Dog Shelter in Binghampton, New York. Please come and visit her at the shelter or call 607-778-2493 for more information.
